North Branch Township is located in Lapeer County, Michigan. North Branch Township was established in 1854. The population of North Branch Township reported by the 2000 Census Bureau is 3,595 with 1,033 located within the Village of North Branch. With 36 square miles in the township the community is a mixture of residential and farming country.

North Branch Township Administration Office and Building Department is located at 6771 Elm Street.

Township Board meetings are monthly on the second (2nd) Thursday of the month.  Meetings alternate monthly from afternoons and evenings to service all community members.  Odd months meeting are in the afternoon at 1 p.m. and even months are evening at 6 p.m.

Planning Commission meetings are the third (3rd) Thursday of the month @ 5 p.m.  Planning Commission meeting are subject to change due to the fact there is not always a need for a scheduled meeting every month. 

The North Branch Township Fire Department is located behind the Administration Office. Lapeer County EMS satellite station is also located in this building.
